The Chicago Protective Apparel SWH-43H-AD is a high-level 43 Cal/cm² Arc Flash Protection Hood equipped with a protective hard cap. It is specifically engineered to safeguard industrial maintenance crews and electrical contractors working in environments that demand CAT 4 (Category 4) arc flash protection.
Arc Rating (ATPV): 43 cal/cm² thermal heat resistance, satisfying stringent Category 4 compliance criteria.
Fabric Composition: Constructed using Westex UltraSoft® flame-resistant fabric, featuring a multi-layer design of a 12 oz navy blue outer layer over a 5.5 oz gray inner hood.
Included Components: Ships as an integrated head-protection assembly containing the fabric overhood, an approved safety hard hat, a secure cap bracket, and a matching 43 cal/cm² face shield.
